I spent the first 9 years of my teaching career as a peripatetic teacher in Leisure Centres, Schools and Village Halls. King Edward Mine Museum is on one of my regular walks.

My partner and I wandered past one day and saw Tamsyn Daniel amidst the wonderful work she had done rejuvenating the Mineral Tramways and the associated buildings. I asked her if any of the units would make a good yoga space and 5 months (and a lot of hard work, tears and stress) later I moved into the loft space in the top of the former Count House.

Six years later we are a small but thriving community with classes every week day. The studio is used by Nicky a fantastic local Pilates teacher, Hannah a fellow Iyengar teacher, Helen a breathwork coach and Ali the first of my teacher trainees to teach a regular beginners’ class at the studio. Their class times and phone numbers appear on the timetable.

The studio is fully equipped and last year we added a rope wall. It is a beautiful, light airy space set in a tranquil landscape. There is also a huge car park and an excellent on-site café, The Croust Hut.
